Powdered Explosions

A lot of dedication and testing went into Adrian Mueller's shoot  for the Spring 2014 campaign of a French cosmetics client.  From creating a custom rig (expertly built by Megan Caponetto) to using Kapture laser triggers and Bron high-speed flash, everything had to be adjusted perfectly to capture the initial stages of powder explosions.  Many thanks to Megan, Tim, Logan, Tomo & Sasha for their help and input throughout the assignment.  Once more, Adrian Mueller could rely on the support of a great team to blow stuff up and enjoy it!

Manipula's Suzuki Motors Ad of the giraffe has earned a Bronze Lion at Cannes Lion Festival!! The Oscars of the Advertising World. The two ads of Africa are in a special edition of the magazine Cannes Lurzer's Archive, too. They are for the Suzuki Jimny 4SUN. "The Compact 4x4 with panoramic sunroof. The artists? Education as Liberation

Another inspirational set of images from Jens Honore explore an educational center in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya for women. Here, girls are taught a variety of different skills from dressmaking to computer work, in a safe, nuturing environment. The girls recieve a proper education, as well as learn the importance of self-reliance.

Young Lions Brazil

Manipula just released their latest production for Young Lions Brazil, the most important gateway for young Brazilian advertisers to the Cannes International Festival.

The Talents were shot in their studio in Rio de Janeiro, with special lighting equipment to capture the perfect moment as the scenes were happing in an Athletics Stadium.  By the end of the shoot, each talent made over 300 jumps till they got the perfect shot.Manipula was chosen to produce this campaign for being one of the exponents in the Brazilian printed image studio market and for being compatible with the campaign's concept of showing the newest and most talented Brazilian creatives. http://www.manipula.art.br/

SOS Children's Villages: Nairobi Woodworking

These inspiring images were photographed in Nairobi for SOS Children's Villages by Jens Honore. He wanted to capture the kind of education the children do get, once they get older and leave primary school. The images were taken at a technical school, where students learn Kenyan carpentry, with an artistic touch. The professor, shown smiling in a hat in one of the images below, takes inspiration from animals for furniture and carvings and ancient tribe decoration for doors and other wood surfaces.
